Arriving March 17, 2026, Gallagher’s Guitars: The Rory Gallagher Collection is an unprecedented look at the
instruments that fuelled one of the most electrifying careers in blues and rock history. Available to pre-order via: https://geni.us/GallaghersGuitars
Rory Gallagher’s name is synonymous with tone, touch, and total commitment to the
craft. Revered as a “player’s player,” Gallagher is forever linked to his iconic, road-
worn 1961 Fender Stratocaster – but his arsenal extended far beyond that legendary
instrument.
Gallagher’s Guitars: The Rory Gallagher Collection showcases 40 of Gallagher’s most
notable guitars, lap steels, and mandolins, along with selected amplifiers and effects
pedals. Photographed in cooperation with Bonhams prior to the 2024 auction of the
collection, the book spans Gallagher’s entire career and features instruments from all
the major manufacturers.
The gear is presented in exquisite detail by acclaimed guitar photographer Eleanor Jane, whose images capture the wear, character, and craftsmanship of each piece. Guitar historian Julien Bitoun provides authoritative commentary, enriched by interviews with Rory’s brother and longtime manager, Dónal Gallagher, and archival photography from the Gallagher family. Featuring a foreword by acclaimed guitarist and Gallagher
superfan Johnny Marr.

In addition to the legendary ’61 Strat Gallagher’s Guitars includes:
• 1958 backup Stratocaster
• 1966 Fender Telecaster
• 1959 Fender Esquire
• 1968 Martin D-35
• 1968 Gibson Les Paul Junior
• 1959 Gretsch Chet Atkins
• 1965 Airline “JB Hutto”

Even Rory’s first guitar, a flat-top acoustic acquired when he was nine years old – makes an appearance.
In addition to major manufacturers like Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Rickenbacker, Epiphone, National, Vox, Martin,
and Marshall, the collection includes rarities from brands that spark the curiosity of discerning gearheads, tone
chasers, and collectors – Airline, Teisco, Mosrite, Stella, Silvertone, Kay, Guyatone, and Supro.

Gallagher’s Guitars is more than a catalog – it’s a tribute to the tools that shaped a singular voice in blues and rock.
From studio setups to stage-worn favorites, the book offers a rare and intimate look at the guitars from one of
Ireland’s most influential and beloved musicians. This carefully curated, display-worthy book is a fitting tribute to the life and career of one of the most revered guitarists of the rock era. Pre-order via: https://geni.us/GallaghersGuitars
